How FairStake works

Clear needs. Coordinated expertise. Accountable delivery.

Understand the need. Agree the approach. Move forward together.

FairStake connects your business requirement with relevant expertise. We agree the scope and fees with you, clarify responsibilities and coordinate the work through delivery and review.

Start with one requirement or combine support. Scope, responsibilities, timelines and fees are agreed before work begins.

The assignment journey

From the first conversation. To delivery and the next step.

Every requirement is different, but the approach stays clear: understand the need, organise suitable support, agree the work and review what is delivered.

  1. Understand the Need

Tell us what your business needs to address. We discuss the situation, priorities, available information and expected outcome to establish where support could be useful.

Starting point: the problem, its business context and what a useful result would look like.

  2. Identify Suitable Expertise

FairStake identifies the capabilities needed for the requirement. This may involve one professional or several specialists, working alongside your existing team where appropriate.

The right fit: relevant experience, availability and clearly understood contributions.

  3. Agree Scope & Fees

FairStake agrees the work with you before delivery begins. Define the deliverables, responsibilities, timelines, client fees and information or decisions needed from the business.

Clear agreement: what is included, who does what, when it is due and the payment terms.

  4. Coordinate Delivery

The agreed contributors carry out their tasks. FairStake coordinates communication and dependencies, tracks progress and brings questions, risks or required decisions to the relevant people.

During delivery: clear communication, timely inputs and attention to agreed responsibilities.

  5. Review the Work

Review the outputs against the agreed scope and expectations. Discuss clarifications, outstanding items and any follow-up needed to bring the assignment to its agreed completion point.

At review: what has been delivered and what remains to be addressed within the scope.

  6. Agree Next Steps

Confirm completion and discuss any further requirement. Additional work or continuing support is considered separately, with its scope, responsibilities and commercial terms agreed before proceeding.

Moving forward: a clear close, a practical handover or a separately agreed next engagement.

Start with one business priority or combine support across areas. The specific assignment determines the people involved and the sequence of work.

Who contributes what

Different contributions. Clear responsibilities.

The model brings together a business need, professional expertise and FairStake’s coordination. A referral partner may help initiate the connection. Each role has its own agreed responsibilities.

  • The Business

Explain the requirement and the outcome you are seeking. Provide agreed information, access and internal coordination. Review proposals and deliverables, and make the decisions needed to keep the work moving.

Your ownership: business priorities, accurate inputs, timely decisions and agreed client commitments.

  • FairStake

Understand the requirement and organise suitable expertise. Agree client scope and fees, clarify contributions and coordinate communication, progress and the review of the agreed work.

Our ownership: assignment coordination, clear agreements and communication with the people involved.

  • The Professionals

Apply relevant expertise and judgement to the tasks they accept. Deliver their agreed contribution, communicate progress and raise questions or risks promptly. Work constructively with the client team and other contributors.

Their ownership: agreed specialist tasks, quality of contribution and accountability for their deliverables.

  • The Referral Partner

Where a referral is involved, make a relevant introduction with permission. Share appropriate context and follow the agreed referral arrangement. An introduction does not automatically create an advisory or delivery role.

Their ownership: a responsible introduction and the commitments agreed before the referral.

Not every assignment involves all four roles. The requirement determines who participates, and responsibilities are agreed before work begins.

Agreements and progress

Clarity before starting. Visibility while progressing.

Clear agreements help everyone understand the work and their commitments. Regular communication keeps questions, decisions and changes visible as the assignment progresses.

  • Deliverables & Timelines

Define the outputs, scope boundaries and expected completion dates. Identify the information, access and decisions needed from the business, along with dependencies that could affect delivery.

Agree upfront: what will be delivered, who contributes and the milestones used to review progress.

  • Fees & Payment Terms

FairStake agrees client fees and payment arrangements with the business. Professional remuneration is agreed separately with participating professionals. Where a referral is involved, its terms are agreed before the introduction.

Keep arrangements clear: calculation basis, payment conditions and timing for each applicable agreement.

  • Communication & Progress Reviews

Identify the people responsible for coordination and agree how progress will be discussed. Share relevant updates, surface risks early and bring unresolved questions to the people able to decide.

Stay connected: appropriate review points, clear action ownership and responsible information sharing.

  • Changes & Completion

Discuss proposed changes before additional work begins. Agree their effect on scope, responsibilities, timelines and fees. At completion, review the outputs and confirm any outstanding items or handover requirements.

Close with clarity: confirm what has been delivered and separately agree any further support.

This page explains the general approach. The agreement for your assignment defines the specific scope, responsibilities and commercial terms.

Questions about How FairStake works ?

A few answers to help you understand the approach before discussing your requirement.

Can I start with one specific requirement?

Yes. You can begin with one business need. FairStake discusses the requirement and identifies suitable support. Where several areas overlap, their contributions can be coordinated within an agreed scope.

Can you work with our existing team or advisers?

Yes. Where appropriate, FairStake can work alongside your internal team, accountant, advisers or service providers. Their roles, information-sharing arrangements and review responsibilities should be clarified as part of the assignment.

How are professionals selected for the work?

FairStake considers the expertise and experience relevant to the requirement, together with availability and the contribution needed. The assignment may call for one specialist or several people with complementary capabilities.

Who agrees the fees and payment arrangements?

FairStake agrees client scope, fees and payment terms with the business. Participating professionals agree their remuneration separately with FairStake. Any referral arrangement is also agreed separately before the referral.

How will we know whether the work is progressing?

Agree appropriate milestones, review points and communication arrangements before delivery begins. Progress discussions should cover completed work, outstanding actions, risks and decisions needed from the people involved.

What happens if the scope changes?

Discuss the proposed change with FairStake. Its effect on deliverables, responsibilities, timelines and fees should be agreed before the additional work begins. A new requirement does not automatically become part of the existing assignment.

How is completion reviewed?

Review the deliverables against the agreed scope and completion expectations. Discuss any outstanding items, clarifications or handover needs. Further work or continuing support is agreed separately where needed.
